We have wished for and waited for a library to serve our area of the county, and the time has finally come to break ground for the Gum Spring Library! Please come join us on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 am at the Stone Ridge Information Center for the formal ground breaking, reception, give-aways and a moon bounce and face painter for the kids too! Don't miss this exciting milestone in our community! Let's show the world how much we LOVE our library!

IT'S STORY TIME!

The Friends of the Gum Spring Library and the Loudoun County Public Library are pleased to announce a monthly Family Story Time right here in Dulles South! The program is for children 2 years of age and older and their parents or caregivers and will be held at the Community Room at the Dulles South Safety Center on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 11 am. The next dates are:

December 15th

January 19th

February 16th

March 16th

April 20th

FROGS Award First Scholarships

The Friends of the Gum Spring Library are pleased to award our first annual scholarships to a graduating senior from Freedom High School and from Briar Woods High School.  This year the recipients of our $500 scholarships are Katie Carnes from Freedom and Margaret Cleghorn from Briar Woods.  Congratulations, Katie and Meg, and all the best as you continue your education!

8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Hardcover, paperback, adult, teen and children’s books!

 All proceeds will benefit the Gum Spring Library.

Donations of gently used books and/or DVDs will be accepted at 25534 Crossfield Drive, South Riding, beginning April 12^th. Books can be dropped off anytime, weather permitting.  Or to schedule a drop off, call Laura Plourde at 703-300-0951 or email laurapl@live.com

GUM SPRING LIBRARY BOND PASSES!

Loudoun County voted November 6th, 55% in favor of issuing bonds to pay for the interior completion of the Gum Spring Library.
